Nathan and Heather Merrill, owners of Zoom Drain of Phoenix East Valley, have always admired exceptional companies in every industry that prioritize the customer experience, offer high-quality products and services, and foster a loyal, team-oriented work environment among their employees. The Merrills were drawn to Zoom Drain because of the brand’s commitment to customer service – fast, focused, fixed – and dedication to a healthy company culture – energy, grit, responsibility, performance, and community – backed by Zoom Drain’s extensive industry knowledge and experience, and the best-in-class drain cleaning expertise, techs, and service trucks. “We wanted to focus on a specialty trade that would always be in demand and provide a vital service for our community here in the Phoenix East Valley,” they share.

Nathan has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Utah. He brings over 14 years of experience as an investment advisor and financial planner, with more than 12 of those years working for Fidelity Investments. Before his tenure at Fidelity, Nathan spent over 10 years in direct sales, marketing, and operations roles with small and medium-sized companies. Nathan’s expertise includes business development, marketing, consultative sales, account management, customer relations, operations management, small business team development, and investment analysis.

Heather has a bachelor's degree in Spanish with a minor in linguistics from BYU and more than 15 years of experience as a project manager and program director for small to large organizations in the technology, non-profit, and legal industries. Her various roles have required meticulous attention to detail, and coordination and communication across multiple teams and areas of expertise, to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Heather’s experience also includes employee training and coaching, technical writing and content creation, technical support and troubleshooting, quality control and procedural adherence, financial management, and customer escalation resolution.

Located in the southeast corner of the thriving Phoenix metropolitan area, the Phoenix East Valley offers a unique blend of energized, fast-growing cities with a warm, tight-knit, small-town sense of community. “We've made our home in the Phoenix East Valley for over 13 years,” the Merrills share. “We love the people here and the friendly, casual yet hard-working, family-oriented environment. Our twin boys are born and raised Arizonans. We love spending time with them hiking, biking, and exploring the scenic, sunny Sonoran desert.”
